Photo walks through my muse Chicago.
There is nothing better than spending time with my friends photographing their families. Watching them become parents for the first time. Documenting their beautiful babies as they grow. It’s one of the most special things I have had the privilege to do.
Once in a while I break out my wide angle and shoot some interiors for some of my design friends. This is for Fonda Interiors and features kitchen, living and dining room renovations of a home in suburban Chicago. Inspired by the design of bespoke kitchens from England and Belgium
So yeah, I’m one of those people that photographs my food. It’s about finding beauty in the ordinary. It’s about taking the care to “plate my food” at home to enjoy just as I would had I gone out.
Santiago Calatrava is one of my absolute favorite architects. I’ve been lucky to have visited two of his buildings - the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Oculus in New York. I just love every curve. The converging lines. The white - so much clean white! His use of natural light. I could travel the world just photographing his work and be forever happy.
Have you ever seen the sunset in Montana? I cannot recommend it more. On a dusty drive through the sage fields we stopped to admire this most beautiful time of day. Can you believe the colors?
The Blue Lagoon Silica Hotel in Iceland is one of the most unique hotels I’ve ever seen. Built beautifully into the landscape of moss covered lava and surrounded by the most stunning blue water I’ve ever seen - a dream to photograph and an even better place to stay.
I had the pleasure of being able to capture my friends Barbara and Steve tie the knot. It was probably the hardest day of work I’ve ever had, but also the most rewarding. I was honored that they trusted me to capture this most special day.
