Today I turn 42. When I tell people my age they are as surprised as I am. Oh trust me, there are days that I know I am in my 40's! I have gained 5 lbs that seem to want to stick around, got to experience a colonoscopy (thankfully it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be), have developed essential tremor because my job has finally gotten the best of me. And oh yeah, just ordered my first pair of progressive lens glasses (sigh). So yeah ... I am in my 40's. But then there are the fun things that keep me young - lots of live music, travel, photography and fabulous friends that keep me active and out and about! So what do I say to 42? Let's do this thing!

March 24 : a treasure : just came across these old letters from my friend Kathryn sent while she was living in France one summer during college. They are a treasure indeed! #snailmail I sometimes miss 'mail.' There's just something about a handwritten message that is so different from a text, tweet, or email.

March 20 : hand drawn : a tiny watercolor of Siena. We loved the artist. He wanted us to take video of him drawing his business card and everything. He had quite the personality. And a great hand with the brush.
Oh and happy Macaron day! I chose two classics in pistachio and chocolate. Yum!
