107 wizard of oz festival : chesterton, indiana

Spent the day in Chesterton with the Pittman crew to take some Sloane photos and attend the Wizard of OZ parade and festival. It was full of folks dressed like the characters, some folks that were really in the movie, some real munchkins - that Bella's cheerleading group cheered for - and etc. It was interesting for sure. Being from Kansas, I find it funny that we never had an OZ themed festival or parade. Might be time for LV to step it up!

A great Sunday!  I haven't spent much time in Wicker Park, but with the Renegade Art Fair on Division, I decided to head down and check it out.  We had brunch at a cute spot Prasino - loved it - it was very energetic and the food was solid.  I will for sure go back.  The art fair was superb too!  Lots of great vendors!!  AND I was finally able to try on a pair of Mohop shoes - bought the last pair in walnut!  So excited!!

The most beautiful Saturday and I was stuck inside waiting on the dishwasher installer. Had a 12-4 window and he finally showed at 3:45. *frown* but, he did a good job and now I should be back in business!

Noticed another sign at the Evanston crosswalks. The "stop here for pedestrian" sign seems to confuse drivers. They stop even when pedestrians aren't present. It's so frustrating. Traffic signage in the US is ridiculous because we have to spell it all out. None of those European icons. Sad!
