VSCO app processing - I am totally loving bw #2 with a little bit of grain |
Can I tell you how happy I am that it's the weekend? I am SO happy! It was a mess of a week - running a project in Montreal from Chicago that has four different suppliers involved is just a hot mess. I can now put that behind me and move on to a relaxing weekend! Wheew!
On another note ... I donated a photo that I had printed on canvas to a school auction and, for the first time, had to write an artist statement. Um... yeah. This is not an easy task for me because I am not much of a self-promoter. I find flaws in myself and my work way too easy. Honestly, I would make a terrible 'artist.' Continually talking about myself and my art would bore me to death. I give huge props to people who have that unabashed confidence about their work.
I reached out to a couple of people to pen a little something for me and ended up with the image/statement above. (you might have to click to view bigger) What do you think?

I've been wanting to get a snap of one of these babies for a while now. I love how they glisten in the late afternoon sun.
I bought a new iPhone camera app today called VSCO cam. I've been seeing beta testers posting photos for a while and it finally came out today. $.99 it's a steal. Love the processing effects and social integration. I think I'm gonna love this app! And might even have to get their LR4 film...
I mean look how cool this bridge shot looks in black and white with a touch of grain... I completely love it!
... via iPhone ...
this makes me queazy in the knees
A bridge too far? Painters hang from suspended wires on the Brooklyn Bridge October 7, 1914 -- 31 years after it first opened
Holy smokes! Some great shots of old NY!
things that make you go hmmm
So I have never googled any of my images to see if they are floating about on the internet till tonight. I had an online news source ask if they could use my image of the NCAA trophy and had granted them permission - they gave me a credit and all was good. I had forgotten the name so I went looking for that image on google. To my surprise I found it all over the web!! Like four pages of google entries and one even has it as the cover image of their facebook profile ... Isn't that nice. Bunch of thieves ... sadly I don't think there's a thing I can do about it.
